Significance of SCO’s membership for India

·        Integration with Central Asia – It will promote India’s economic integration with the Central Asian republics which is in line with India’s Connect Central Asia policy.

·        Energy security – It will likely led India to get greater access to major gas and oil exploration projects in Central Asia as many of the SCO countries have huge reserves of oil and natural gas.

·        Friendly relations – It provides another venue for engagement with China and Pakistan, building up trust through cooperation.

·        The entry of India and Pakistan into SCO may help boost anti-terrorism cooperation between the two countries and provide a platform to resolve their differences.

·        It will also help the country’s aim to regional integration; promote connectivity and stability across borders.

·        Cooperation on counter-terrorism – India is expected to have a greater say in pushing for effective action in combating terrorism and on issues relating to security.

·        India’s participation in Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure (RATS) may bring some new levels of intelligence sharing; promote cooperation of member states against the three evils of terrorism, separatism and extremism.

The answer seems to be a bit too general. Try to be more specific. Rework on the Introduction part. Otherwise a decent attempt. Keep writing.
